Semmes, Alabama

Well we have started to adjust to our life here in Semmes, Alabama. Destiny and Whitney started school and other than the fact that they have to wear uniforms, they are liking their new schools. We bought a beautiful home close to the base so Kit's commute is about 5 minutes. There are 2 running trails close by which I love and the base is so close no excuses hit the gym everyday. We all still miss our friends and family in Camden. Justin is close and visits often. I have applied for a teaching job at the local business college. I enjoy my time with the girls. We bought a much smaller home than we had but have a beautiful pond and koi pond. Kit and I built me a scrapbooking building which I love.

Spring 2011

2011 has been a very busy year with many changes in store for my family. Orders came in for Kit and we are being transferred to Mobile, Alabama in June. None of us are very excited about it but, that is life in the Coast Guard so we will adapt and make the best of it. Basketball was great for the girls this year. Kit and I coached both of their teams and they did really well. Destiny and Whitney both made All-Stars and we got to coach Destiny's team. Great group of girls. Now softball begins and I am team mom for both Destiny and Whitney's team. Still trying to improve my running and weightlifting skills. Our home is up for sale and it saddens me. Krystal will graduate with her RN degree in May and Justin is doing well in the Coast Guard. When we move to Mobile we will only be 2 hours away from Justin. Kit and I have now been married 24 years, my how time flies. This year has been hard with family trials and death of my cousin CJ who was my age and a amazing happy person. I truly hope the rest of the year is much happier.

Time Flies

I have been so busy I have not updated my blog in forever. I have quit my high stress job and I am now teaching college at the College of the Albemarle. I teach language of medicine and billing and coding and love it. Krystal is doing well she is in nursing school and enjoying being a newlywed. Justin likes the Coast Guard and is now stationed in New Orleans. Destiny and Whitney were both chosen for the Camden All Star Basketball team. Destiny for the 10 year old girls which Kit and I coached, and Whitney for the 8 year old girls. They had fun, and Whitney's team did better than any of the Camden losing the Championship in the final 4 seconds by 1 pt. Now on to soccer and softball.
